Debunking the Myth's and sales pitches

All radar detector brands claim that they are the best or have some esoteric advantage the others don't have. The fact is they are all about equal in detection, the only difference being in what they detect, and if they cloak VG-2 and are fast enough to detect "POP" or instant on radar in time.Miserable radar speed trap cop

Most Radar Detectors do a poor job of protecting you from "instant on" or "POP radar". I have two tickets from the Kansas Highway Patrol to prove it. By the time the radar detector goes off, you've been had. The same applies to laser. The best a detector can do is alert you to the POP radar or laser scatter emitted when the cop is targeting someone else. The same goes for photo radar and photo laser. (Lidar is the same as Laser)

I like front and rear detection. I just hate it when a cop sneaks up behind me or shoots me from the back. It must have something to do with their pork orientation.

Interesting fact from the AMA  "traffic police have one of the highest rates of testicular cancer by occupation due to the widespread habit of resting radar guns in their laps without switching them off?

If you get a ticket, you can beat most radar and laser tickets using the defense strategy presented in "The Tipmra" (the best speeding defense in the world). You have to invest your time to go to court to fight a ticket. A better idea is not to get the ticket in the first place. If you don't get a ticket, well, you don't need the Tipmra.

If you use a scrambler that sends out or transmits FM frequencies to fool radar the cop, he can detect it. It is not uncommon for a cop to pull over someone using such a device and ticketing him anyway. The cop may lie and claim a radar reading he did not have or use "estimated speed".  Bottom line, if you use a scrambler that emits FM frequencies you may end up with more tickets then if you didn't use one at all.

The Rocky Mountain scramblers emit no FM frequencies and as such are undetectable. The cop will get a good speed reading on your car once you are within 50 to 200 feet of him. If you use these scramblers/jammers you will have to slow to the speed limit before reaching the cops position.)

Radar detectors and scramblers will not defend you from Vascar speed measuring devices. (these are time/distance measurements made either on the ground or by aircraft. (The tipmra provides and excellent defense should you be nailed by one of these devices). Less then 2% of all tickets issued come from Vascar.
